Methods for anticorrosion of metal valve and its parts

The anticorrosion of metal valves can be understood as the coating of metal valves with conditions to protect them from corrosion (such as paints, pigments, lubricating materials, etc.), so that valves should be free from corrosion in all processes, including the manufacturing, storage, transportation or operation.

The method of anticorrosion of metal valves depends on the required protection period, transportation and storage conditions, valve construction characteristics and materials. Of course, it is suitable to consider the economic effect of anticorrosion.

There are four main methods for anticorrosion of metal valves and their parts:

      1. Put the volatile corrosion inhibitor into the steam atmosphere (wrapped with resist paper, blow to inhibit the air from passing through the product chamber, etc.).

      2. Use the blocked water and alcohol solution

      3. Apply a thin layer of anti-corrosion (protection) material to the surface of the valve and its components.

      4. Apply a thin layer of blocked film or polymer to the valve and its parts.

At present, valve manufacturers widely use lubricating materials and water resistance melt flow to prevent corrosion.
